Corvallis is the home of Oregon State University. Interest in a covenant Christian Community began in 1969 when Rev. Charles Harris, CSC, a Physics Professor from the University of Notre Dame, came to Oregon State as a Newman Chaplain. In December 1972, a small group of young men and women made a covenant to form the Vine and Branches Covenant Community. </p> <p>We began a training relationship with the People of Praise in 1979 later becomeing the first branch.
